Huddersfield Town are working on a deal to sign Birmingham City midfielder Marc Leonard, according to a report from Football Insider.
The West Yorkshire club, preparing for a second consecutive season in League One, are said to have made the 22-year-old a key target in their summer recruitment plans.
Leonard Eyed for Key Role Under Grant
Leonard signed for Birmingham just last summer following an impressive two-year loan spell at Northampton Town. He went on to make 35 league appearances in 2024/25 as the Blues secured promotion to the Championship.
Despite being under contract until 2027, Leonard could now be on the move again, with Huddersfield reportedly hopeful of striking a deal.
As per Football Insider, the Terriers are “pushing hard” to bring the Scotland youth international to the John Smith’s Stadium. Talks are believed to be progressing well.
New boss Lee Grant is leading a summer rebuild as the club looks to climb back into the second tier. Leonard is seen as the type of composed, technically proficient midfielder who could anchor that project.
