28-Year-Old Confirms Commitment to Doncaster Rovers with Contract Extension

Doncaster Rovers full-back Jack Senior has expressed his delight at signing a contract extension with the club that will keep him at the Keepmoat Stadium until the summer of 2026.

The announcement comes as Rovers look to secure promotion from League Two, with the season approaching its crucial final stages. Along with George Broadbent, Senior’s contract renewal is a key step in Doncaster’s plans to strengthen their squad and push for the top places in the league.

A “No-Brainer” for Senior as He Extends Stay at Doncaster

Senior, who has been enjoying a consistent run in the team, admitted that the decision to stay was an easy one for him. “It was a no-brainer,” he said of his contract extension. “I’ve really been welcomed into the club, and I feel part of something special here. It’ll be coming up to two years at Doncaster, and it’s a great club with a fantastic group of staff. Every day I come into work, I look forward to it, and that’s something I haven’t experienced everywhere I’ve been.”

Having found his stride in recent weeks, Senior has been an important part of the defensive setup. Doncaster’s push for promotion to League One will be crucial in the coming weeks, and Senior is determined to help the team finish strong. “I’m enjoying it,” he shared. “It’s better than not playing, and of course, the goal is to play. But at this moment in time, it’s not about me; it’s about the team. We’re all working together to achieve success, and that’s what’s most important.”

The full-back’s new contract adds stability to the squad, and Senior is hopeful that the team’s unity will propel them to promotion. “It’s one of the best changing rooms I’ve ever been involved in, and that’s massive in terms of what we want to achieve as a team,” he added. “We’ve got a real togetherness, and with that, we can go far.”

Senior’s presence in the dressing room and on the pitch will be vital for Doncaster as they aim to finish the season strongly and challenge for a place in League One. With promotion still within reach, his experience and leadership will play a key role in the team’s success.

The club has already shown its ambition by tying down key players like Senior and Broadbent, and it looks set to build a solid foundation for the future. Senior’s decision to extend his stay underlines his belief in Doncaster’s potential and his desire to be part of their exciting future.
